One of the best things about the 90s was the grunge era of fashion. To some’s dismay, there has been a 90s revival. I, however, am not one of those people. Flannel, Doc Martens, thermals, tablecloth floral prints, bring it on! There was something so amazing about the haphazard mash up of textures, fabrics, and shapes.
One of the most important fashion pieces had to be the combat boots. Whether worn with babydoll dresses, flannel shirts or shorts 4 sizes too big, they were absolutely crucial to pulling off that angsty teen look. So after having a mini My So-Called Life marathon this week and falling back in love with Jordan Catalano, I’ve decided that I need a pair of big black boots in my possession. They are so versatile and can go with absolutely anything as seen below.
Below are some boot selections in every price range. It would probably be overkill if I were to buy them all, right? My bank account is going to hate me…
1. Barney’s CO-OP Lace Up Boots - $395
2. Nine West Jawbreaker Boots - $149
3. Charlotte Russe Platform Granny Boots - $34.99
4. See by Chloe Belted Lace Up Boots - $495
5. Dr. Martens Charlie Boot $139.95
