Today I decided to try to get out of my all-black funk and inject at least a little color in my outfit for the day. I finally wore my red latern mini skirt (emphasis on the mini!) that I bought from Evans. I am so in love with its shape. Its basically a short tulip skirt and is so amazing. I paired it with this embroidered vest I scored while out thrifting and a basic gray tank. Instead of going my typical route and throwing one of the many pairs of black shoes that I own, I decided to debut the new Dolce Vita mary-janes that Solestruck was so nice to send over. They are so classic but still have a sexy edge to them. So far, they haven’t been that bad to walk in and they provide a nice alternative on days I want to add a little pizazz.
I think I’m resigned to the fact that I’ll be one of the only people wearing tights through the summer. I love them so much and I’ve been looking for spring alternatives, namely colorful SHEER tights but have yet to find them in plus sizes. If anyone knows of any places that sells sheer tights in colors other than nude, brown, navy and black, please let me know!
