It seems like every other day, I find myself spending a ridiculous amount of time on Etsy. I love browsing through the handmade items and supporting independent artists. That brings me to this cage skirt made by Angie of I Heart Norweigian Wood. Originally seen on the runway during the Acne S/S 08 show, the cage skirt frenzy was started by Susie Bubble. When Acne decided not to put the skirt into production, she took it upon herself to figure out a way to get a similar cage skirt created. That’s where Angie came in. She collaborated with Susie and then started selling them in her etsy shop and I just had to get one. Its custom created and is perfect for adding a layer of texture to any outfit. Mine is made of a plaid fabric with silver hardware and I have plans of ordering a floral one for the spring.

Today also was the debut of my American Apparel Triangle Bra. I was inspired by the Margiela bra leotard and wanted to experiment with the notion of underwear being worn as outerwear. I like how it came out and will definitely try it more often.
