Charles Anastase’s spring 2009 collection has stuck in my head since his September runway show. There is something about the the combination of elements that will not leave my brain until I attempt it. The garters and biker shorts are seriously blowing my mind, and then worn under a sheer full skirt… just amazing. I’m particularly drawn to the third look. Its tough, sexy and seductive all rolled into one and I’m definitely digging it.
The fun for me comes in trying to recreate this look for my plus-szied body. I’ve already purchased garters from Torrid and a few pair of bike shorts are on their way to me (from the same place I bought my unitard, dash sportswear). Now I just need to locate a full sheer skirt thats not a crinoline.
The key to pulling this look off is definitely the attitude. You have to own an outfit like this and I plan on doing just that. I’ll keep you guys updated on my search.
